PACK MIX
All Red is acceptable.
1 Green + / or 1 Yellow per pack is acceptable
Acceptable Capsicum Colours
Red, Green, Yellow, Green/Brown or Red Brown (Chocolate)
Semi-Colour (unripe) Up to 50% of Surface is also Acceptable.
Inconsistent Size & Shapes Are Acceptable.
ROOM SET-UP:
- Select Stock – Refer to Produce Specifications
- Place in Room near start of Conveyor line
- Ensure you have all necessary items at your station before starting
- Enough stock of individual trays
- Knife for trimming
- Gloves
- Hair Nets
- Turn Scales on & Check weight
- Tare off Scale
- Rubbish Bins in Place
- Pallets Ready for Empty Boxes in Place
- Crates Set Up Ready to Pack Into
- Spare Pallets in Place
- Spare Crates in Place
- Wash Hands, Use Hand Sanitiser, Put on Gloves & Hair Net, Remove any loose items.
YOU ARE NOW READY TO START PACKING
PROCESS:
Follow the scales procedure and pack as per what is acceptable. (All Red, or 1 Green /& or Yellow)
- Trim stems if excessive.
- Always Ensure the weight is above the minimum requirement – 750g including the tray if you haven’t tared the scales.
- Place on the conveyor for wrapping.
- Fill crate as per pattern below:
10 Prepacks Per Crate
- Attach the Date Card & Grower Card to each Crate.
- Stack and Complete Pallets

42 Crates per Pallet (6 a layer x 7 rows high)
- Once pallet is completed attach the two yellow tags – 1) Day it was packed 2) Product Code
- Place Pallet in Coldroom for storage
- Complete or necessary paperwork.
